Though the 99%ers get ridiculed and are often thought of as neverdowells- I find them very inspiring as it is a big thing to stand up for something publicly-
There are those that would be like- "What do they stand for, bro? Handouts!?" But that's not true and they know it. It's not about "give me" it's about "stop taking from me"....
Anyway, it made me think of other people who have protested in more dire situations and what it takes for people to be heroic...putting themselves at risk for whats right, like our troops...So I wrote a song about it.
lyrics
They say the system is the way
It twists into you like a blade
You bleed a little everyday
When you believe the words they say
It's gonna devestate the best of you.
Now are they evil or just bad
Well, either way it's fucking sad
It's not until you're really mad
That they'll stop leaching off the best of you.
Calling all heroes
You're needed again
Our back wheels are spinning
It's time to dig in.
Calling all heroes
Suit up today
The time is now
Stay out of our way
Now are you hearing what was said
They call ya pink, they call ya red
You never see who's in their bed
They're gonna bleed ya 'til your dead
As they pretend to be the best of you
Calling all heroes
You're needed again
Our back wheels are spinning
It's time to dig in
Calling all heroes
Suit up today
The people are rising
We'll be here all day
